CITEPA - Documentation centre

The documentation centre is free of charge open to members and under appointment from Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 17.00

The documentation centre is also open to non-members, under appointment as well and according to participation conditions.

The documentation centre of CITEPA is one of the most important in France about air pollution. It is made of about :
  • 8 500 references later than 1988,
  • 5 500 registered books,
  • 30 specialized magazines (subscription).
  • Yearbooks, handbooks, directories, encyclopaedias, standards, statistical databases, policies, etc...
The literature collection of CITEPA mainly covers the following themes :
  • Emission activity sources (as far as possible, activities which are usually not considered as important such as household or agriculture or nature activities are also reviewed),
  • Pollutants by category including "exotic" pollutants or compounds emitted by nature,
  • Atmospheric transfer,
  • Monitoring techniques in spite of the fact that CITEPA has no measurement laboratory,
  • Emission reduction techniques,
  • Emission reduction costs,
  • Reduction strategies at national, European and world level,
  • The five present most important problems: acidification, photochemical pollution, ozone layer destruction, greenhouse effect and climatic change.
Health or environment effects of atmospheric pollution in general are not relevantly present in the literature fund of CITEPA; other organisms, and more particularly APPA (Association pour la Prévention de la Pollution Atmosphérique) are much more able to collect and treat such a kind of literature.
